Liverpool are reportedly willing to offer Newcastle United over £100 million for Alexander Isak.
Liverpool’s desire to sign a new No.
9 this summer is well documented.
Arne Slot wants a new center forward to lead the line as the club hopes to retain the Premier League title next season, and several names have been linked with a possible move.
Sweden international Alexander Isak is one of the potential options being considered.
The Reds have been linked with the 25-year-old for some time.
Isak enjoyed another productive season in the Premier League and his form and quality has made him a player Liverpool will want to sign this summer.
However, Liverpool’s interest in the player was thought to have cooled, due to Newcastle United’s reluctance to sell.
Isak’s current deal at Newcastle runs until 2028 and Newcastle’s £150 million valuation was thought to have discouraged Liverpool.
However, in a shocking twist, journalist Ben Jacobs revealed on Wednesday that Liverpool are ready to make a move for the 25-year-old under certain conditions.
“Liverpool are ready to shatter the British transfer record for a second time in quick succession as they remain determined to sign Isak if he is genuinely available, according to GMS sources, and they are prepared to lodge an offer worth £100million plus add-ons, which would see the overall package surpass the figure agreed with Bayer Leverkusen for Wirtz,” the journalist wrote for GIVEMESPORT.
Jacobs has also now also revealed that Liverpool are willing to offer as much as £116m for Alexander Isak.
However, it is thought that Newcastle are not interested in selling their star player?
But it is possible that the Magpies will be tempted to allow the 25-year-old leave if Liverpool offer that much for Isak.
